Attending the Toigo Gala in NYC on the 35th anniversary of the foundation with over 800 other supporters was a fantastic evening. We caught up with too many old friends and clients to recount and met new friends, but special shout-outs go to Erik Hall, the current Chairperson of NASP; Doug Fleming, a former client at JPMorgan who was an honoree and former Board member; Tim Reese, CEO & CIO of the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System; Shundrawn Thomas, founder of The Copia Group and former CEO of Northern Trust Asset Management; Kelli Washington of the Cleveland Clinic Investment Office; incoming Toigo Chairperson Jose Minaya; Theresa Hamacher, lead independent director of the Morningstar Funds Trust; and Saba Ahmad, Founder and President of Turning Rock Partners.
In addition to supporting one of the most innovative and effective philanthropies addressing the diversity pipeline issue, the Gala was organized as a fantastic networking opportunity. The beautiful venue was The Glasshouse on the west side of Manhattan. We are already looking forward to attending the West Coast Toigo Gala in Los Angeles again in November 2024. I hope some of our West Coast friends and clients will join us.
