The IPA Vision 2025 Conference in Boston September 17-19 was a valuable networking and highly informative event attended by over 600 professional, a record for the association. I found dozens of my clients and nearly 100 friends gathered for a couple of days of great content assembled by Anya Coverman and her team, the Conference Committee and the Board. Congratulations and thank you! A particular note of thanks to outgoing Chair of the Board Bill Duffy of Fidelity for all his work over the last year, and incoming Chair Jason Goode of Alston & Bird (despite knowing from Bill how much time and effort goes into this leadership role!)
The content of the conference was outstanding with a wide range of industry leadership sharing valuable insights on current data and best practices, as well as the trajectory of the industry. Shout outs to Doug Krupa of KKR, Liz Jones of Ares and John Bogosian of Blackston on industry best practices on the first day, Chip Roame of Tiburon on day two for great insights on data and trends in the industry, and Drew Carrington of iCapital and Brendan Curran of State Street Investment Management on day two for unique and valuable insights on the emerging private markets defined contribution distribution channel.
I already have next year’s IPA Vision 2026 conference in Atlanta in my calendar!
