Attending the Investment Company Institute‘s Leadership Summit this spring provided a fantastic chance to catch up with 800 of my best friends and clients in Washington, DC! Innovators in the industry pushing the evolution of strategies into alternatives and products into more creative and customized solutions with whom I visited included Jenny Johnson and Daniel Gamba at Franklin and Jonathan Epstein at The DCALTA – Defined Contribution Alternatives Association. I was also impressed by the number of fund trustees with whom I had worked over the years that I got a chance to speak with during this event. Tom Kim has done a great job with the Independent Directors Council and had a robust program for this group.
The focus of a number of speakers and panels on technology and private market innovations matched the interests and activities of all our clients.
