The Investment Company Institute‘s Leadership Forum in Washington, DC, a couple of weeks ago was another tremendous success with great content and fantastic opportunities for us to connect with current and former clients. Congratulations to Eric Pan of the ICI and Thomas Kim of the Independent Directors Council, as well as the entire staff, for their tireless efforts to set the stage for investment management leaders to talk about the most important issues facing the industry. Impressively, they have created a much more intimate environment for networking than the predecessor ICI Annual Meetings, which I had attended for a couple of decades.

Additionally, Jose Minaya and his Conference Committee (Andrew SchlossbergGeorge R AylwardStephanie Braming, Carol GeremiaChristine HurtsellersJody JonssonCynthia Plouché, Doug Sieg, and Gary Tenkman) chose and delivered an “all-star” line-up of speakers and panels, totally on point with important insights on best practices driving success in the investment business today.

Thanks to sponsors such as Northern Trust Corporation and BNY Mellon for hosting events for networking at such interesting spots as the spectacular rooftop of the Old Ebbitt Grill and the elusive and intimate barmini by Jose Andres.

We will be back next year!

Thanks to Jane Mancini and the team at BNY Mellon for hosting a fantastic event on the rooftop of the Old Ebbitt Grill. Easily one of the most breathtaking views of Washington, DC, at sunset!
