Our business reflects these trends, with smaller alternative managers, in particular, hiring to build out and upgrade investment operations and technology, as well as distribution roles. With larger, more established managers, the most active areas heading into 2025 are channel/product managers in distribution, chief marketing officers with strong technology backgrounds, and specialty asset class portfolio managers and teams with established alpha-generating track records. It is a great relief to have strong demand for executive talent at the outset of the year, given all the turmoil and uncertainty in the global geopolitical environment, and a testimony to the exuberance of many industry leaders as a result of most major market indexes being at all-time highs.
