What a great conclusion to our partnership with Morningstar Funds Trustees with this announcement of Tim Reese, CEO of the Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement System, joining the Board. Former Treasurer of the State of Pennsylvania, investment banker, venture capitalist and technology entrepreneur, Tim brings a world of diverse viewpoints and skills to the Morningstar team. Most importantly, Tim’s long history of support for minority entrepreneurs was a perfect fit for the Morningstar’s mission oriented culture of creating great products that help investors reach their financial goals, empowering retail investor success.
Our success was bittersweet. During the search we lost friend and colleague Enrique Vasquez to cancer. Enrique led the Governance & Nominating Committee until weeks before his death. His counsel and friendship will be greatly missed.
