Many thanks to the team at the Institutional Investor US Institute, especially Jim McCaughan and Amy Quint, for including me as a panelist at the CEO Roundtable in Santa Monica last week. The panel we convened, including Silas Myers, CEO of Mar Vista; Sonya Mughal, CEO of Bailard; and Stephanie Braming, Global Head of Investment Management at William Blair, provided some real-life insights on best practices regarding succession planning.
I was lucky enough to be able to sit in on all the panels over the two days and was impressed with the quality of speakers and data presented. This is a “one-of-a-kind” event for high-quality insights from industry leaders unencumbered by the vendor pitches so typical on the conference circuit. I am surprised that more leadership teams in our business don’t take advantage of this valuable member-only resource.
