It was rewarding to be a member of the “Mutual Fund Board of the Future” panel at the Mutual Fund Directors Forum’s annual Fund Governance & Regulatory Insights Conference with former client and Morningstar Funds Lead Independent Director Theresa Hamacher, Jay Keeshan, and David Mahaffey. There was some great feedback and discussion in the breakout sessions about independent directors taking more active ownership for the accelerating evolution of board skills, diversity, culture, teamwork, and sourcing outside experts.
