The IPA Vision 2023 conference in Dallas at the new PGA headquarters was a great learning and networking experience. The attendance of almost 500 professionals, in combination with an outstanding program of speakers, made this one of the more valuable conferences that I have attended in some time. It is great to have an event centered on the topic and issues where we do much of our search work, building HNW products and distribution strategies for alternative investments.
Especially illuminating was the panel on the growth of private Reg D (particularly 506b/c) investment vehicles, particularly the complexities it introduces to the wealth management investment advisory process. Great work by Doug Krupa, Dustin Norris, Ali Connaughton, and Benjamin Wells.
This was my first time at an IPAVision conference, and the speakers and panels have been fantastic and well worth the trip to Dallas. Congratulations to Anya Coverman, her staff, the Conference Committee, and the entire Board of the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives. I will be back next year!
